New Silhouette for Melbourne Yellow Diva began life in London. The vibrant sinuous upholstered furniture soon received critical acclaim, widespread international press coverage and inclusion in prominent design directories. Leading European architectural practices and interior design firms have been specifying Yellow Diva furniture for their projects since 1995. Suited to a myriad of applications, from contract furnishing to domestic use, our chairs, chaise longues & stools can be found all over the world. Yellow Diva furniture is now exclusively based in Melbourne. The Abbotsford studio will serve as both showroom and design office, offering architects and designers the opportunity to familiarise themselves with our entire range of furniture and meet the creative team. 51 Victoria Crescent is a unique and energising space. Once housing a dye-works for the adjacent wool mill, the old industrial building has been transformed into a light-filled gallery; its exposed wooden trusses and white washed brick walls provide the perfect counterpoint to Yellow Diva's strong contemporary aesthetic. Yellow Diva is at once timeless and enduring yet provocative and forward-looking. The current collection exhibits a distinct evolutionary thread that persists through past, present and future projects. Each piece responds and relates to the other: bone-shaped stools metamorphose into anthropomorphic chaise longues that abstract into upright chairs. The furniture flaunts a dynamic simplicity that comes from exacting refinement. Extraneous detail is filtered out leading to work of conceptual purity. And by employing traditional upholstery techniques to interpret new forms, Yellow Diva has not had to sacrifice comfort to style. Every product is hand made to order. Sourcing local manufacturing firms allows us to offer competitive pricing and delivery times. Celebrate diversity in an age of conformity. Yellow is the new black. http://youtube.com/watch?v=eC6JHjzp1sA Back to List |
